WELCOME TO HOME OF GOLF TOURS

The Home of Golf.  Anyone who has ever lifted a golf club (and most of those who haven’t) knows, that term belongs to Scotland and the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews in particular.  We at Home of Golf Tours are proud of our golfing heritage and history.  We know that golfers who come to play in Scotland are walking in the footsteps of golf’s greatest legends from the earliest trailblazers through to the greatest players to ever play our wonderful game.  From Royal Troon and Turnberry on the west coast to Carnoustie, Muirfield and of course The Old Course at St Andrews on the east coast, are the iconic courses that continue to attract awestruck golfers from all corners of the globe.  These are what we call the goose bump courses but that’s only the beginning.  There are close to 600 golf courses in Scotland, all steeped in history and all to a very high standard of playability and condition.

At Home of Golf Tours our aim is to give you the freedom to enjoy your vacation free from the distraction of having to organise the trip from start to finish.  Indeed once you step off the plane until the time you’re due to leave for home, our mission will be to tailor your golf tour to meet your every wish and expectation, from vehicle hire, accommodation, golf, even après golf like castle visits or whisky tours.  Above all we pride ourselves on the personal service that we provide so that your golfing break at the home of golf, wherever you may play and stay, leaves you with some wonderful memories and the longing to return and do it all over again, just like the giants of the game have done before you!

MEET THE HOME OF GOLF FAMILY

Home of Golf Tours is a true family affair, made up of father and daughter partnership, William and Kathryn Hill.  William has over 35 years experience in the construction industry having run his own building firm and has also been involved in construction management.  It is also worth stating that William has a deep seated obsession with golf!  Playing off a handicap of 12 he is a member of Kenmore Golf Club in rural Perthshire.  He has been vice captain, captain and is currently secretary at Kenmore.  His passion has seen him play all over Scotland and also a few golfing trips abroad doing what he calls "missionary work" for Scottish golf.

On the other hand Kathryn is the Marketing expert behind the business.  Although not a golfer as such, she has experience in organising corporate golf days.  Kathryn has a degree in marketing management and her knowledge in the field is crucial to the business.

Between the two of them they know what makes a golf trip in Scotland just that little bit extra special.  They recognise that Home of Golf Tours is in a unique position in world golf, with more courses per capita than anywhere else in the world, along with iconic courses, stunning scenery, a rich history and culture and a pride and belief that every trip booked with them will see you return for more!
